Somi & Yash's Grand Destination Wedding At Raipur

Brides! Meet Somi and Yash our bride & groom who met each other around 6.5 years ago in their college. And like any other romantic story, their relationship began with the most romantic flower, A ROSE! A Jain bride and a Punjabi groom, the real challenge was to convince the families for the intercaste marriage. But as they say, love has no boundaries and finally, this beautiful couple managed to convince their families and turned their dream into a stunning wedding! From a stunning shimmery Mehendi lehenga to brides personalised kaleeras and from sequins saree for her Haldi to baubles of bridal jewelry for her D-day, this destination wedding of #SomiSaidYash at Raipur was one such magical wedding that made our Valentine's day super special! 

Pre-Wedding Photoshoot

Swimming pool, waterfall, and smoke bombs - All in one! To start with Somi & Yash had a very romantic and exciting pre-wedding shoot at different locations that made us swoon over their pre-wedding photography.  From a pretty lehenga to velvet gown, this bride made sure to look stunning in her shoot and the couple's chemistry made us go aww! (Don't forget to take inspiration from this lovely couple for your pre-wedding photoshoot.) 

Mehendi

Starting off with the wedding ceremonies Somi for her mehendi ceremony looked drop-dead gorgeous. She chose an olive lehenga, which had multi-colored sequins. With her mehendi lehenga, she adorned a satlada haar with a colorful choker. With the subtle makeup & shimmery eyes, the makeup artist did a great job. In fact, we also loved her personalised pink #Yash kaleere & bridal mehendi that is to die for. From #SomiSaidYash wedding hashtag to floral wreath and braided hairstyle this bride made our heads turn with her mehendi function! 

Haldi Ceremony

In her haldi ceremony, the bride looked no less than a princess! Ditching the cliché outfits, for her haldi function, she chose a sequined saree and paired it with a velvet blouse. She didn't forget to wear floral gota-patti jewellery with pearl beads to create the contrast and to make her saree look edgy, she paired a black belt with it that are major #bridalgoals. But what we loved the most is, her pink persoanlised floral kaleeres + the groom complemented the bride with his yellow kurta and white pyajama. 

Wedding Day

Just like their mehendi and haldi ceremony the wedding day was all dreamy & magical. The whimsical blush pink lehenga by Sudhir Bhai, was beautifully paired with a fuschia pink dupatta & dazzling bridal jewellery like mathapatti, pearl choker and enameled necklace that made us want to get hitched now. As the bridal makeup was kept very simple yet phenomenal. For their jaimala ceremony, they exchanged the varmalas made of orchids + we are swooning over her customised red dupatta, which had 'Sada Saubhagyavati Bhava' written at the borders. The highlight of the wedding was the 40 groomsmen who wore coordinated blue sherwani with black and maroon shawls (and stole the show like a boss!)
