The Ambani weddings are legendary for their grandeur, and Anant and Radhika's big day was no exception. After seven-month-long pre-wedding festivities finally the lavish wedding was held at Jio World Convention Centre at  BKC in Mumbai on 12th July. With an impressive guest list including celebrities, business moguls and political dignitaries, everyone eagerly anticipated the bride and groom’s look.

Cometh The King And The Queen

Anant Ambani the true blue 'Dulhe Raja' came on a white horse to his wedding venue with his Baraatis including family and friends dancing to live music. At baraat Anant wore Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla designed orange and golden sherwani.He styled it with white pyjamas, and beige sneakers embellished with gold sequins ditching the traditional mojaris and completing the look with a gold elephant brooch.

Ditching the traditional Palki, Radhika arrived in a stunning boat, shaped like a peacock, a majestic bird symbolizing beauty, love, and good luck in Indian culture. Imagine a gleaming colourful vessel adorned with intricate peacock feather design, gliding gracefully on a man-made pool or waterway within the Jio World Convention Centre. Furthermore, she was escorted to the Varmala stage in an extravagant phoolon-ki-chadar adorned with fresh flowers like rose, jasmine and orchids.

Anant Ambani: The Modern Maharaja

For Varmala Anant changed to a Sabyasachi Mukherjee-designed red sherwani which featured a band gala neckline with intricate golden embroidery wherein the front button closures were adorned with precious gems like diamonds and emeralds. His stylist Sheena Nathani accessorized his look with a diamond and emerald regal necklace and a massive diamond brooch featuring a panther crouched on a large emerald weighing 720 carats.

Radhika Merchant: The Ethereal Queen

1. Regal Elegant Attire

Radhika's wedding lehenga was a showstopper by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla which was a modern take on Traditional’ Panetar’, a Gujarati tradition of brides wearing red and white. Ivory Zardozi fabric came alive with intricate floral embroidery, shimmering stones and a touch of red resham. Cascading layers included a flowing ghagra, glittering three borders of red exhibiting fine workmanship of Naqshi, Saadi and Zardozi. With a dramatic 80-inch Zardozi trail, and a dreamy 5-meter head veil. With a red and golden tissue shoulder dupatta. This masterpiece balanced modern elegance with a nod to her heritage.

2. Vintage Heirloom Jewellery

Radhika paired her lehenga with heirloom jewels her sister wore at her wedding in 2020. Their mom and naani too had worn the jewellery for their wedding. They passed down the choker to the newlywed Radhika who wore Anjali’s polki earrings, mang tikka, and haathphool. Apart from these Radhika wore a stunning diamond and emerald necklace, kadhas, bangles and Kaleeras.

3. Minimal Yet Glam Makeup

Hindu Wedding!

Rhea Kapoor and Shereen and Sanya Kapoor curated the overall aesthetic and style of Radhika’s wedding day look. Makeup Artist Lovleen Ramchandani and hair stylist Hiral Bhatia nailed the makeup with a dewy –highlighted base, kohl finish, brushed lashes, bold red lips and a sleek bun for her final-day look.
