When Abhiram took Aishwarya aboard a hot air balloon safari, soaring above and across the gorgeous Savannah, he got down on his knee and asked her to marry him. And it's this moment that our recent bride, Aishwarya cherishes the most.

The couple held an intimate Maharashtrian ceremony in Pune, with their closest of the kin present. For them, it wasn't about the size of the function or the number of people that attended their wedding. It was about enjoying every moment they spent together with their loved ones during these wedding ceremonies. Which they certainly did. So, without further ado, scroll down below to check out this couple's winsome wedding photos!

Introducing Aishwarya & Abhiram's Intimate Wedding in Pune

According to Aishwarya, the duo met each other during their student days while pursuing Chartered Accountancy, "We were both doing our mandatory internship during our student days. Since it was the busiest season for work, there was a paucity of space. Being interns, we ended up sharing a desk (something which I wasn't fond of). And initially, it wasn't the most fun experience, considering I had been ignoring him for I was invariably pissed at sharing my space," the bride recalled, "However, once we did start talking, we instantly hit it off! After that, there was no looking back. Chats became coffee breaks, coffee break became dates and here we are today!"

Having dated for a significant amount of time, the couple then took a trip to Masai Mara, Kenya. There, they took a soaring safari across the Savannah landscape on a hot air balloon. And then, mid-air, Abhiram proposed to Aishwarya to marry him with a gorgeous infinity shaped platinum band!

For Aishwarya and Abhiram, their wedding was a very personal and intimate affair, "Since I consider myself a control freak, I had to be involved in every step of the planning and execution," the bride revealed. And meticulously plan she did. There was a specific theme for every function, yet every event was a riot of colours, which were all made up of intricately chosen elements that brought the whole set up together.

Enchanted Forest Theme Sangeet Night

The sangeet night was based off on the enchanted forest theme. A mix of gorgeous greens and fairy lights, the sangeet function was a hit. Every family member from the bride and groom's sides joined together to dance on some amazing songs, which in turn resulted in lots of fun-filled moments and laughter. For the sangeet, Aishwarya was dressed in a beautiful black lehenga while Abhiram wore a stunning dhoti kurta with a jacket on top to match his bride's lovely ensemble.

Intimate Cocktail Party With Eye-Catching Decor

The cocktail was another intimate event, with the bride and groom's friends visiting to have the time of their lives. A continuation to the enchanted forest theme, the couple held their cocktail party at Ambrosia Resort and Spa, with eye-catching decor. Plus, Aishwarya rocked a charming bottle green outfit.

Small Mehendi Ceremony At Bride's House Garden

For her mehendi function, the bride wanted to have a small ceremony in her own house's garden. She always liked the idea of having her mehendi function in an open-air environment and her house's garden was the perfect place. So, decorated with marigold flowers, she had her mehendi function where she had a beautiful yet minimal mehendi design on her hands and legs.

Dream Wedding Day With A Series of Customisations

Talking about her wedding and all the prep that went it, the bride told, "Our entire event was a series of customisations! So of course, we had custom made cushion covers designed by Himanshi for the wedding which had our #AA logo. It was a masterstroke of Le Festivaa who actually suggested this item and blew all the guests away!"

The wedding ceremony was a full-on Maharashtrian celebration. The duo chose Siddhi Banquets, an elegant banquet hall which was ideal for accommodating their guests and was based in the city, close to their homes. For her wedding, the bride decided to wear a stunning purple silk saree, along with minimal gold jewellery. Abhiram, on the other hand, was dressed in a simple yet elegant dhoti kurta, matched with a wonderful stole with floral pattern on it.

Reception Party

After the wedding, the couple held their reception where Aishwarya wore a scintillating maroon coloured lehenga with rose gold zari work, while Abhiram wore a black tux in contrast to his bride.

Vendor Reviews

Wedding Venue

1. Ambrosia Resort and Spa

For the Sangeet and Cocktail, I preferred it to be an open resort which could complement my enchanted forest theme and the Ambrosia Resort and Spa was the perfect choice for this event. The venue had Santorini-like vibes with lush greens all around and was also a bit distant from the city’s hustle-bustle, which made it a very cocktail worthy destination.

2. Siddhi Banquets

The wedding had to be in the city at a venue which was closer to our homes but also had to be a very elegant one. Thus, we chose Siddhi Banquets – which is probably Pune’s most royal yet elegant banquet hall and could accommodate up to a mammoth number of 1000 guests. All in all, when we look back – we were very happy with the choice of venues as they facilitated and complimented all our functions.

Makeup Artist

Ritika Tyagi

For the make-up, I chose Ritika Tyagi, who I know since my internship days. She was exceptional and an absolute professional. She knew exactly what I would like or prefer for each one of my looks, and boy, she nailed them. I was flooding with compliments for all functions. My makeup was mostly airbrush and looked flawless through the events.

Invitations

Himanshi Sharma Designs

Invitations were custom designed along with our logo by Himanshi Sharma Designs and she did a fantastic job with the invites.

Event Planner and Décor

  1. Eternal by Apoorva Bhangdia
  2. Le Festivaa Event and Wedding Planners

The décor was designed by Eternal by Apoorva Bhangdia and executed by Le Festivaa Event and Wedding Planners. Both the vendors did an excellent job and I would take a moment to appreciate Le Festivaa. They looked into each function and ensured that I had no bridezilla moments. Their dedication, commitment and attention to detail was something I was impressed by. They also suggested little quirks and elements which added a lot of elegance and sophistication to all my functions.
