Our childhood has a profound impact on each of us, but lucky are those who can preserve their child-like spirit even in their adult life. While some may have chosen to get hitched in Disneyland or Harry Potter World, we came across one such bride that designed and personalised her kaleeras with small Lego people charms!
Gazal, a jewellery designer (Label: Hyperbole Jewellery) designed her owns kaleeras for her Lego fanatic husband-to-be. Though this wasn’t their only tribute to Lego land. It all started when Fenil proposed to her with a Lego ring that he made himself! This personalised detail is the one that really made our hearts sing! Not only that, they skipped the typical pre-wedding shoot and successfully added their own touch to it by doing a pre-wedding shoot with the Lego version of themselves, depicting scenes from their love story and all their special moments that led right up to their magical wedding!
Fenil & Gazal kept the zeal of reliving their childhood with their Mela-themed mehndi bash, full of vibrant colours and fun games including balloon shooting and Parrot Tarot card reading. The wedding decor by Scarlet Concepts was done up perfectly to what the couple had envisioned and all their love and warmth were captured perfectly by the photography team of Memoire.

The Mehndi Mela
This function was the one that really caught our eye, the bride and groom decided on the perfect theme for their mehndi - A mela. And boy, did it live up to its theme, full with colourful kettles, bulbs, and a hill full of pinwheels that made for such a picturesque spot!
The next marvel was the cart of 30-40 types of candies that used to be popular in the ’90s. Slices of mangoes, amla jars and even a rajwadi chai wala! The theme really came to life with the super fun games and activities like balloon shooting, Tug of War and Parrot Tarot card reading. It was a day of merriment, cheer and childishness which everyone enjoyed to the fullest.
This was the perfect time for the bride to shine as a talented jewellery designer that she is. She designed personalised kaleere for her mehndi, complete with little charms of lego-people, silhouettes of wine glasses, the Golden Gate bridge and their own wedding hashtag #Fezal. All these things were an unmissable part of who they are as people, and what they love about each other. The bride’s mehndi outfit was designed by her mother. Looks like talent really runs in this family!

The Traditional Haldi
For her haldi, the bride wore a warm colour combination of a scarlet red blouse with a draped yellow saree. The colours, red and yellow symbolise good luck and compliment the bride on this auspicious event to commence their wedding festivities! She wore two corsages on her wrist made out of baby’s breath this red flower. She wore earrings to match and a delicate maang tikka to go with it.
The Retro Sangeet
This couple had a grand tunnelway full of fairy lights and autumn leaves as the decor for their Sangeet night. The bride and groom set the stage ablaze with their fiery performance together. The entire affair was so high-spirited and full of energy, we couldn’t stop gushing over their pictures from the function! The theme of it was retro- entirely black and gold.
The bride wore this heavily embroidered and detailed beige lehnga, complimenting her attire was a glorious smokey-eye look. She draped the dupatta in the style of a shrug, which we’re totally digging right now. The groom wore a classic black bandhgala with white churidar and stole the show.
The Symbolic Wedding
The entire wedding was based on Pichhwai Lotus as the couple are firm believers of Shreenathji, and the Pichwai Lotus is the most beautiful portrayal of God. The decor was pink, ivory, green and gold. In the walkway, there were lotus urlis, the trees inside had hanging metal flowers and bulbs, the entire mandate was giving a feel of flower shower. The bride made her entrance below a grand phoolon ki chaadar alongside her girlfriends carrying plates decorated with diyas and flower petals.
The bride’s gorgeous ivory lehnga with hues of pink, magenta and cream paired with a dupatta laced with a vermillion border, was yet another masterpiece designed by the mother of the bride.

The Fairy-tale Reception
The Reception was an elegant affair—A combination of peach, green and white. The drapes were peach while the centre pieces were white, green and pink floral arrangements. Mesmerising chandeliers swayed from atop. The bride wore a stunning shimmery gown with a glittery eye-lids look to accentuate her eyes. The groom a black tuxedo and they looked fit to walk the red carpet!
Their Love Story
Their’s was the perfect “opposites attract” story! Fenil is saint-like and likes to keep things simple whereas Gazal likes things to be done with pomp and extravaganza. They say it's often baffles them too how they fell for each other but that’s just the magic that makes them ‘imperfectly’ perfect for each other!
Fenil and Gazal knew each other briefly through their families before. However, it wasn’t until a common friend’s engagement party that they kickstarted their romance. They met again later in California, where Fenil is based and Gazal was vacationing. They met almost every day after the other and found that they loved each other’s company. And well the rest is history!
