1. Get the Mantras etched

Holy mantras are considered auspicious and are believed to bring fortune. Hence, brides are incorporating them in their bridal mehendi is the latest fad. Our bride, Tanvi too amped her bridal mehndi with a holy mantra. 

2. Hypnotic checkered patterns

Checkered patterns are basics of henna art and are used in all mehendi designs. However, as per the latest trend, these checkered patterns have emerged to become the highlights of bridal mehendi. 

3. All things weddings

Including motifs of wedding-related elements like doli, elephants, sindoor moment, etc is also all rage these days. It adds a traditional touch and a lot more meaning to the otherwise meaningless patterns. 

4. Less is more

Even though Indian weddings are best known for their grandeur and extravaganza it is surprising to see that 'less is more' mantra is ruling the Indian wedding scene at present. Right from the bridal outfit to jewellery and even makeup, minimal is what's trending. Same is the case with bridal mehendi too! Instead of getting the entire hands laden with mehendi, brides are opting for simplistic and minimal designs that look so damn elegant.

The entire present generation is a big time foodie. And modern brides are not shying away from highlighting their love for food on their bridal mehendi. After all, food above everything, duh!

6. Tribal caricatures

7. Half bare feet

How can we miss out on the foot mehendi designs! But what's trending in foot mehendi? Well, it is keeping the half foot bare and having a prominent motif in the center.
