Hola ladies! Last year we saw so many new ideas and tips that were trending on Instagram. Be it pastel lehengas making their way to the wedding day or the quirky colourful photobooths, 2019 was exceptionally experimental. 2020 started with a big fat Indian celebrity wedding of Armaan & Anissa Jain but still there lies a major thing that concerns a bride, which is her bridal look. And why not, all the attention is on her after all. As there is no chance of taking any risk we are back with another blog series of What To Wear When. And this time it’s about every woman’s best friend: JEWELLERY!

Most of the times we get confused about how to match the right jewellery with our outfit. And, in case if you were thinking to wear a choker with a covered blouse, it’s a NO-NO girl! But fret not, we are here for your rescue. Today, we will guide When To Wear a choker and layered jewellery according to your blouse type so that your bridal jewellery stands out from the crowd & you look like a million bucks on your wedding day!

Choker Necklaces vs Layered Jewellery

Bridal Choker Necklaces

If you're a bride-to-be who has a longer or a thin neck, then wearing a choker necklace is perfect to match with your bridal lehenga! Worn around the neck a choker necklace is a type of jewellery that touches the skin and goes well with a cocktail gown, lehenga and saree!

Tip: Be it pairing up with studded kundan and polki stones or getting some sequins and beads you can wear a close-fitted or a wider choker necklace that looks good with a deep-V neck and sweetheart neckline!

How To Pair Your Bridal Choker Necklace With Your Blouse Type?

Deep V Neck Blouse

We spotted many millennial brides wearing deep plunged V neck. Our favourite designer Sabyasachi is rocking his lehenga collection with this trending blouse design. If you are also planning to wear a deep neck blouse, go for a choker. Make sure you choose a heavy and embellished choker because it will fill up the space around your neck and will give you a chic look.

Sweetheart Neckline

With the latest wedding season, the sweetheart neckline is back in the game! Brides wore a simple blouse with a sweetheart with their traditional lehengas. So if you are one of them, who is planning to have a blouse design just like them, wear a heavy and giant choker with your lehenga. Make sure it is sizable and covers up the collarbone perfectly.

Bridal Layered Necklaces

Brides! If wearing a choker necklace is not your thing, then don't worry cos we have a sunning layered necklace that will make you look like a million bucks! Just imagine you wearing a neck full of layered jewellery or a rani haar on your wedding day and everyone stops & only gazes you? Well, now that's something to note down!

Tip: Giving you a queen or a maharani look, layered necklace is perfect for those who has a short neck and can be worn with full covered blouse, wide and boar blouse design!

How To Pair Your Bridal Layered Necklace With Your Blouse Type?

Full Covered Blouse

All covered blouses look elegant and royal when paired with lehengas. Don't do the mistake of pairing up your full covered blouse with a choker. But it will mess up the look and will hide the elegance of your outfit. Instead, team up your blouse with a nice layered set of jewellery. Add only 2-3 layers of the necklaces because if you add more, the look will become tacky. You can pair up a nice choker with heavy rani haar.

Wide & Boat Blouse Design

Many brides keep their neckline basic with a wider blouse design. Some are wide from all the side and some have the boat necklines (wide from the shoulder part). So if your blouse is revealing from the shoulders, match your outfit with layered jewellery. You can go OTT with an oversized neckpiece or can keep it simple with a minimal one. This will hide the extra space on your neck.
